Brown’s Harvest is proud to be one of the leading sunflower destinations in Hartford County, growing over 5 acres of stunning sunflowers with more than 30 unique varieties. From classic golden blooms to specialty colors and towering stems, our sunflower fields create a breathtaking summer experience for visitors of all ages.

SUNFLOWERS AFTER HOURS

Yearly Dates: Evenings in August | 6 - 8 PM - Golden Hour on the farm!

Experience Sunflowers After Hours at Brown’s Harvest, an exclusive evening event set among more than 3 acres of blooming sunflowers. Enjoy a peaceful, limited-capacity sunflower field experience during golden hour as the sun sets over the farm. Guests can wander the fields with fewer crowds, take in the scenery, and pick extra sunflowers to bring home, making it ideal for a relaxing summer outing in Connecticut.

Your ticket includes sunflower picking, a hayride to and from the fields, access to the jump pad for kids, live music, and scenic photo opportunities throughout the farm. Food and drinks are available on site, including craft cocktails and wine. Sunflowers After Hours is perfect for date nights, friends, and families looking for a unique farm experience with beautiful views and a slower pace.

PICNIC AMONG THE PETALS

Yearly Dates: Weekday Evenings in August | 6 - 8 PM

Enjoy a relaxing evening at Brown’s Harvest with Picnic Among the Petals, a seasonal farm experience set in our sunflower fields. Guests are provided with a private space cut out of our sunflower fields, along with a curated picnic basket featuring artisan cheeses, cured meats, fresh baguette, and seasonal fruits and vegetables grown at the farm. Each pair also receives a choice of local craft beer, wine, or sparkling cider to enjoy while surrounded by blooming sunflowers.

This Connecticut sunflower picnic experience is perfect for date nights, girls’ night out, or a peaceful summer evening with someone special. Take time to unwind, take photos, and enjoy the beauty of the farm at golden hour. Each guest will also have the opportunity to pick sunflowers to bring home as a fresh reminder of the experience.

SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL

Yearly Dates: Mid-August | Sunday | 10 AM - 4 PM

Visit Brown’s Harvest Sunflower Fields and enjoy a relaxing day wandering through acres of sunflowers in full bloom. Guests can explore the fields, take photos, and enjoy a peaceful outdoor farm experience while picking sunflowers to bring home. This daytime sunflower experience also includes access to local craft vendors and food offerings on the farm.

Your ticket includes blooms, along with access to the jump pad and hayride to and from the fields. Families and visitors of all ages can enjoy a fun and scenic day at the farm, complete with seasonal food options and food trucks.

BACKYARD BARBECUE

Yearly Dates: Early August | Ember Restaurant | 6 - 9 PM

Join us at Brown’s Harvest for a Backyard BBQ hosted by Ember Restaurant featuring a classic farm-style meal, refreshing drinks, and live music in a relaxed outdoor setting. Guests can enjoy a traditional barbecue dinner along with desserts, cocktails, and seasonal favorites while spending an evening on the farm. The event lawn games, raffles, and a festive atmosphere perfect for all ages. Live music will keep the energy going throughout the evening as you enjoy time with friends and family.

EMBER RESTAURANT

Brown’s Harvest is proud to host Ember Restaurant for the entire month of August, bringing a unique farm-to-table dining experience to the heart of our sunflower fields.

Developed by Chef Ryan Carrigan, Ember is an open-air restaurant concept that combines fine dining, local agriculture, and the beauty of Connecticut summer evenings on the farm.

Guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails and an ever-changing seasonal menu featuring fresh ingredients sourced directly from Brown’s Harvest and other local farms. Dine under the tent surrounded by thousands of blooming sunflowers while experiencing one of the most unique outdoor farm dinners in Hartford County.

Private Photography Sessions

We offer private sessions for professional photographers. Sunflower fields are perfect for family sessions, portraits, senior photos, engagement/pregnancy shoots & more! During these private sessions you will have complete privacy in the fields without worrying about strangers in the background of your photos! 

You are allowed to shoot professionally during our Sunflower Festival for the cost of admission for you and your client(s).
